Bjorn Erikson died after falling from the dragger Gailou 12 miles southwest of Nantucket lightship, at 11 a.m. The crew pulled him from the water within 10 or 15 minutes, and a Coast Guard helicopter with a doctor aboard hoisted Mr. Erikson onto the helicopter at 3:15 p.m., when he was pronounced dead.
