Vessel Details

2/11/1954

The Clara T. disappeared while fishing off Block Island in a violent northeast storm. The Mildred & Myra had been fishing with the Clara T., but the two boats were separated by the storm. The crew of the Mildred & Myra reported the vessel overdue and in trouble. A seven-day Coast Guard search  using aircraft, cutters, an icebreaker, and other vessels was hampered by choppy seas and poor visiblity, found no trace of the boat.
