Anders Svendsen Skeie, usually known as Andrew, was lost at sea off Gay Head in August 1963, between 4 and 5 a.m. A search by the crew and a Coast Guard plane and patrol boats failed to find Mr. Skeie, who was believed to have fallen overboard.
