Olaf G. Borgen, skipper and owner of the Eleanor May, lived mainly aboard his vessel. He collected mail at a P.O. box in Nantucket and at Sam Cahoon's in Woods Hole.
Aroud 1:00 A.M. on April 08, 1941, William E. Francis of Earle Street, New Bedford, discovered the body of Olaf G. Borgen, skipper and owner of the dragger Eleanor May, floating near Pier 3 in New Bedford.
The medical examiner ruled his death a drowning, circumstances unknown.
