George Piva Trinidade was born April 5, 1910, in New Bedford, Massachusetts, the son of Francisco Trinidade and Jacintha Souza Trinidade. He was survived by his wife, Emily Lawrence, two sons, George P., age 9, Richard, age 4 and two daughters, Elaine age 6 and Barbara who was 2 months old. He was washed off the dragger Four Sisters during a storm on March 4, 1942.
The Four Sisters was fishing off Nantucket when a large wave washed George Trinidade and Rudolph Myrden overboard. The next wave threw Mr. Myrden back aboard the vessel, but Mr. Trinidade drowned.
