Antonio DePinho was an experienced fisherman, but this was his first trip on the Atlantis. He was survived by his widow, Maria, and four children.
The dragger Atlantis disappeared on October 30, 1992. For five days, a Coast Guard cutter and two aircraft searched an 18,000-square-mile area centering on a site 25 miles east of Nantucket, where the Atlantis had last been seen, without results. A year later, a wreck believed to be the Atlantis was found a quarter of a mile from its last reported position, off Nantucket. The ship was not raised, and the men's bodies were not recovered.
